Darklight and Music First are thrilled to announce the third installment of Resonate — featuring extra special guests Musclecars (NYC) and Bbyfacekilla alongside Music First DJs! On Sunday, 26 October (Labour Day Sunday), Okahu in Mission Bay will once again become the epicentre of cutting-edge audiovisual exploration. This edition of Resonate features special guest headliner Musclecars (NYC), returning after their epic debut with Music First in 2024. They will be supported by Bbyfacekilla and Music First DJs, ensuring a night of boundary-pushing performances across sound and visuals.
Musclecars is a Brooklyn-based DJ and production duo comprising Brandon Weems and Craig Handfield. Known for their soulful blend of house, jazz, disco, and soul, they draw inspiration from New York's rich musical heritage. In 2018, they launched Coloring Lessons, a party and label aimed at reviving the golden era of NYC nightlife and connecting with younger generations through music rooted in Black and Brown traditions. Their debut album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea!, released in May 2024 via BBE Music and praised as the “Dance record of the year” by the legendary Gilles Peterson.
Tickets are available now via Under the Radar. Don’t miss your chance to lose yourself in waves of shifting light, sound, and motion at Resonate’s next unforgettable night.
