A Māori wahine DJ, taught the craft by her late son, DJ Waylow, she brings a fresh and evolving sound shaped by connection, vibration and passion for the decks. From intimate sets to clubs and events across Aotearoa she’s been carving out her own space in the scene over the last 2 years,
Now focused on honing her craft further, she’s only just getting started.

Kimba Jade has been lighting up dancefloors for over 20 years with her signature blend of deep, funky, and globally inspired grooves. A master of musical journeying, Kimba weaves bass-driven beats with tribal, melodic, and soulful sounds that move both body and spirit.
With a deep passion for Ecstatic Dance and the power of music to connect and uplift, Kimba brings that same vibrant, heart-opening energy into clubs and bars. Her favourite styles to play are Tech House infused with Indie Dance, Techno, Deep Tech/Minimal, blending rhythms with emotive melodies to create a sound that’s both driving and deeply immersive.
After years of spinning in Sydney and Auckland’s underground scene — from conscious dance floors to late-night sessions — Kimba is now based in Wellington, bringing her signature fusion of rhythm, soul, and bass to local venues. Whether behind the decks at a festival, Ecstatic Dance, or a packed club night, Kimba’s passion is the same: to create an unforgettable atmosphere where freedom, rhythm, and connection collide.
