About this Event
Fear and overwhelm are being used as weapons of the state to demobilize people. In this workshop, we will use inspiration from Baleen whales and somatic practice to find our centers amidst the chaos of these times. Baleen whales teach us to filter through their web of hair-like strains that respond to a huge gulp of seawater with a sophisticated process of discernment. How can we wade through these waters to find ways of getting our needs met beyond the state? What do we need to be able to take these risks? We will engage somatic practices that teach us to return to our commitments amidst the fear, overwhelm, and chaos. As the wheels of authoritarianism crank into motion there is no better time to take the state out of the body. This workshop is open to all - no previous somatic experience necessary.
