About this Event
In this engaging workshop, you will delve into the mesmerizing world of resin ocean art. You will learn how to harness the secrets of crafting beautiful, lifelike ocean waves in resin, resulting in a one-of-a-kind cheeseboard, and coaster pair, to adorn your home or gift to loved ones.
Don't worry if you are new to resin art - this workshop is designed for beginners and our friendly instructor will guide you each step of the way. You'll be inspired and encouraged as you explore your creativity in a supportive environment.
During the class, you'll work with high-quality epoxy resin and pigments to bring your ocean-inspired masterpiece life. There are a selection of boards available, please choose from option when booking.
In this workshop you will learn:
- How to safely use epoxy resin
- How to prepare your board and coasters for resining
- How to use pigments
- Tips for mixing
- Tips and tricks for creating cells and lacing that imitate the effect of real waves
- How to finish your pieces
By the end of the workshop, you'll amazed at what you've accomplished and the skills you've learnt. You'll have created your very own ocean cheeseboard and coaster pair.
Resin takes up to 24 hours to cure. Attendees will need to arrange to pick up their pieces the next day or pay for postage on the day. A flat rate of $15 will apply for Australia wide.
Important: Resin art is not suitable for children and attendees need to be 16 years or older to attend. It is also not suitable for pregnant women or those with serious lung conditions.
