Sponsored by the IWK Health Centre, the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, and Enactus Acadia University, this training is grounded in two years of research and piloting it into public schools and communities.
Today’s youth are navigating unprecedented challenges — social media pressure, gaming and dopamine-driven habits, rising anxiety, depression and the evolving impact of AI.
So what actually works? Skill-building and emotional regulation techniques.
In this training, you’ll learn how to help youth:
• Regulate their nervous systems in overstimulating environments
• Reduce reliance on dopamine-driven habits like scrolling and gaming
• Strengthen focus, emotional resilience, and self-worth
• Build meaningful, real connection, the strongest predictor of long-term well-being
Workshops include movement-based practices, guided regulation techniques, mental performance training, trauma recovery tools and First Nations healing practices.
You’ll experience the tools firsthand — and leave inspired to apply them immediately in your classrooms, programs, and communities.
