About this Event
Resilience for Reality is a practical, interactive workshop for people with full lives, not much extra time or energy, and a steady background hum of overwhelm.
This is not a list of stress tips or aspirational self-care. Instead, you’ll choose one real challenge you’re dealing with right now, get clear on what actually needs your attention, and leave with a plan you can realistically follow through on.
What we cover
- How to sort what’s competing for your attention using a simple Need To / Want To / Have To framework
- Why avoidance grows overwhelm, even when it makes sense in the moment
- How to use your values to decide what matters, so your next step feels clear and solid
This session blends reflection with simple tools, small-group practice, and guided discussion. You’ll leave with one next step you’ve already chosen, plus a framework you can use again anytime life feels too full.
This is resilience grounded in reality: clear, human, and doable.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Choose one real issue that’s driving their overwhelm
- Sort tasks and pressure into Needs, Wants, and Have Tos
- Recognize how avoidance (not failure) often keeps overwhelm in place
- Pick 1–2 personal values and use them to shape one realistic next step
- Leave with a simple framework they can reuse when overwhelm shows up again
Participant Takeaways
Each participant leaves with:
- One clear focus (not a long list)
- A completed Needs / Wants / Have Tos map
- A short Values-to-Action plan (one value, one decision, one step)
- Simple language for explaining their priority, useful for boundaries and communication
- A repeatable process for getting back to clarity when life ramps up
“If nothing else changes after today, this one step still moves your life forward.”
