What happens when foster care-involved NYC youth take the stage to tell their own stories? ReSign, an original, hard-hitting, and inspiring musical drama written and performed by young people who have faced the system, is the answer.
For the past six months, participants in The Possibility Project’s Foster Care Program have met after school to collaborate, share, and transform their lived experiences into a bold, eye-opening production. Through music, drama, and raw storytelling, they bring to life the struggles they’ve faced and the vision they have for a more just and peaceful world.

Show story: Eighteen-year old Monroe signs out of foster care convinced freedom will finally give them the life they've been waiting for. But stepping out on their own isn't as simple as it seems.
From unstable housing to unsafe jobs and impossible choices, Monroe's dream of independence is tested at every turn. Their friends, whom they have relied on for support, are facing similar battles in their lives. Through Monroe's journey and the voices of their peers, we witness the struggle to build a future worth fighting for. Will they find their way or will they only fight to survive?
