About this Event
Spring forward, fall back. Do you find it hard to adjust when the clocks go back, with the approaching darker, colder nights and shorter days? Or do you love the chance to cosy up, light a candle, and snuggle down? However you feel at this time of year is perfectly normal - and it brings opportunities to reset your self-care and focus on your well-being needs.
Nature is changing around us, as Autumn moves closer to winter. It’s a real opportunity to align with the Wheel of the Year and take stock of how we can stay in harmony. Shedding leaves and going into hibernation is the natural world’s preparation for the colder months. And the more we can attune and shift our habits to reflect that, the better we’ll feel.
This period is also marked by many as a time of reflection and new beginnings. At this time of year, significant traditions are observed worldwide, such as Samhain, Diwali and Halloween. These celebrations have roots in honouring transitions, the passage of time and the balance between light and dark. Whether it's lighting a candle to welcome the new season or setting intentions for renewal, this day offers a symbolic moment to pause and reflect, making it a meaningful time to focus on self-care.
After the busyness when summer turns to autumn, the lengthening nights offer more time to reset, renew and recharge our metaphorical batteries. We can do that through letting go of the things we don’t need, lightening the darker days with self-care and envisioning things that make us feel good. It’s a time to focus on boosting your immunity and finding a gentle flow to prevent sluggishness, keeping your circulation and lymph systems moving.
We’ll come together to welcome the seasonal shift collectively, set intentions for our own self-care in a way that feels personally right for you.
In our time together, we’ll press the pause button so you can carve out some nourishing self-care time, resetting the needs of your mind and body as we move towards midwinter. Here’s what you can look forward to:
- Grounding mindfulness and self-reflections to check in, let go and set positive intentions
- Mindful movement to encourage good posture, stretch your muscles, ease physical and mental tension, boost circulation and lymphatic flow
- Gentle somatic movement to quieten the nervous system and guide you toward relaxation
- Beautiful guided relaxation for deep rest and rejuvenation
- Poetry and specially chosen music
Secure your spot for an evening of self-care and reflection - limited spaces available.
