Part 1: Understanding Trauma

Explore:

  • An overview of trauma, including its meaning and relevance in lived experience,
  • Sources of trauma – personal, ACEs, workplace
  • How do we know if we or others are having a trauma response
  • A brief explanation about trauma and the nervous system
  • The effects and impact of trauma
  • Vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, burnout
  • Introduction to becoming trauma informed.


Part 2: Managing Stress, Overwhelm & Burnout

What you’ll gain:

  • Understanding the impact of chronic stress on your well-being
  • Learning the definition, signs/causes, management of stress, overwhelm & burnout
  • Learning the science behind this.
  • Learning from case studies.
  • Learning practical and effective self-care strategies including self-regulation tools.
