Reservoir Dogs premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 1992, where it was one of the most popular films at the fest. It was theatrically released later that year. It has gone on to become a cult classic, despite its controversial use of violence, profanity and problematic language. This low budget movie launched the career of the critically and commercially successful writer-director Quentin Tarantino. It also ushered in a new era of independent film making and helped bring the technique of non-linear storytelling to a much wider audience.
It should also be noted that the film features a main cast of eight men. There are only two women that appear (fleetingly) in the movie. Between the two of them, there is only one line of dialogue uttered by a woman in all of Reservoir Dogs. And that line is, "Aaaahh!".
Come and see this one night only show and all of that will change.
