Come along and lend a hand as we head out to the beautiful native bush alongside the Lucas Creek stream. We will be working in the bush, clearing plants that shouldn't be there and making space for native plants to flourish. Be surrounded by tui, fantail (piwakawaka) and immerse yourself in the sights, smells and sounds of nature.We will provide all the tools you need and show you what to do so you don't need to know anything! Bring a friend to help as well if you like. Everyone welcome to join us.
We advise you dress for the weather as we'll go ahead even if there is light rain on the day. Sturdy shoes, lace up ones with good grip are recommended and some clothes you don't mind going home in a bit muddy.
