About this Event
Refresh. Rewear. Re-love your wardrobe.
Got clothes you don’t wear anymore because you’re bored of them… or because there’s that stain that just won’t budge? This fun, hands-on workshop shows you how to give tired garments a bold new look using simple silk-screen printing.
Silk-screen printing is an easy, creative way to upstyle clothing by printing a design directly onto fabric. With just one stencil, you can transform multiple items and give your wardrobe a whole new vibe.
In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of silk-screen printing using hand-cut stencils, and practice printing onto t-shirts or other garments you’ve retired from regular wear. Expect creativity, experimentation, and plenty of “oh wow, that worked!” moments.
***
Who is this workshop for?
Perfect for adult beginners and young people aged 16+.
No prior experience needed—just curiosity and clothes ready for a makeover.
***
What do I need to bring?
Please bring a selection of garments you’d like to print on. One of the joys of silk-screen printing is that you can create multiple prints using the same design.
Ideal items include:
- T-shirts (perfect for beginners)
- Jeans
- Aprons
- Skirts/dresses
- Shirts
- Other fabric items with a flat surface at least A5 in size
Avoid dark colours, pleats, pockets, seams, or heavy embellishments in the print area.
For best results, fabrics should be cotton or cotton-rich blends.
✨ All tools, inks, and equipment are supplied by The ReDress Hub.
Clothing Protection: Please bring either a large shirt or apron to protect your clothing and or wear old clothing you don't mind getting some paint on!
If you’d like to keep printing after the workshop, you’ll be able to take your stencil home and we’ll recommend the tools and materials you can purchase—either through us or from local art supply stores.

Design ideas
There will be time during the workshop to develop your design, but we recommend arriving with a simple idea in mind. Bold shapes and block designs work best—and don’t worry, we’ll guide you through the process step-by-step.
