Grab your tickets to our Ordway premiere with Reppin’: Past Moves, New Grooves! This concert dance show is a collection of favorite repertoire and new works created by company dancers that represent our signature approach to jazz dance. The show, featuring several 5-15 minute dances, showcases various approaches to dance that are related to jazz, including tap and improvisation, and a short dance film. Music-driven and joyful, Rhythmically Speaking's performances are accessible and enjoyable, even for dance newbies!Repertoire works on the show include:
🤝Confronting Consonance by RS Artistic and Executive Director Erinn Liebhard, a work exploring how we often get in our own way of finding our common ground; (Liebhard will also be presenting a separate, new screendance!)
❤️Groove: A Communal Love by 2023 visiting artist Carlos R.A. Jones (NY), which celebrates giving over to groove and finding joy in community;
🎶BASSline by 2022 visiting artist Kathleen Doherty (Halifax, Canada), illuminating the body's relationship to prominent bass lines within music.
