The March repair café is a special one: as part of Celebrating Communities month, we're taking over Birkdale House and Hall and combining the Kaipātiki Repair Café, a fabric giveaway from Thread Lightly, and other fun activities to bring you a fantastic morning out. Repair, create, share, play – what better way to spend a Saturday? All welcome, including tamariki of all ages. Everything is FREE!Here's what you can look forward to:
⭐️ Kaipātiki Repair Cafe – bring something to be repaired (if you can carry it, we can look at it!) and have a cuppa and some morning tea with friendly locals 🛠️
⭐️ Thread Lightly pop-up – FREE fabric, patterns and haberdashery; come and gather supplies for your next project 🧵
⭐️ Top-secret workshop for adults and children – stay tuned, details announced soon 👀
⭐️ Activities and games for kids and whānau 🛝
⭐️ Community garden – take a look at what's growing at the House and get inspired for your own garden 🌱

The Birkdale Beach Haven Community Project supports this event as part of our month-long festivities for Celebrating Communities – an annual festival that celebrates the diverse and vibrant communities of Beach Haven and Birkdale. With funding from Kaipātiki Local Board, this festival creates spaces for our community to come together to connect, learn and celebrate!
