Jersey Shore Food Not Bombs believes that skill sharing and fostering creativity are important for community building. In particular, sewing is often invisible, underappreciated, and undervalued as “women’s work,” but is necessary so that we can mend, resize, and upcycle clothing in a system where doing so helps the environment, people, and the community.
