About this Event
The City of Edmonton and its partners are offering a FREE Rent Ready Certificate Course that can help you find and keep your housing. This 4-week course (2.5 hours per week, including a half-hour break) will give you the knowledge and tools you need to find housing that works for you. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate recognized by local housing providers. Please note, you need to show up in person to take this course.
Schedule: Every Tuesday between:
- May 12, 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
- May 19, 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
- May 26, 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
- June 2, 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Staff from the City, Bissell Centre and C5 with expertise in residential tenancy legislation and financial empowerment will help you. You will learn:
- Your rights and responsibilities as a tenant
- The responsibilities of your landlord
- How to make the most of your money and find savings
- How to create a safe home
- How to navigate the application process
Refreshments and free transit tickets will be available when you show up in person at the course.
