Join the Earth and Environmental Science Department at RPI and NATURE Lab at The Sanctuary for Independent Media for a cleanup at Piscawenkill from 10 AM to 1 PM for the 14th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep. This is a rain or shine event.
Volunteers will meet at 2 Winnie Ave, Troy NY 12180, off the Uncle Sam bikeway. Street parking is available. The cleanup portion of the event will be from 10 AM to 12 PM. From 1 PM - 2 PM, volunteers will sort and inventory trash at NATURE Lab (3319 6th Ave, Troy, NY 12180).
We recommend that all Sweep volunteers bring a hat, sunscreen, a full reusable water bottle, insect repellent, work gloves and hand sanitizer.
This site is suitable for elementary-aged children with adult supervision.
