About this Event
Saxophonist Patsy Gamble presents a programme of music for the time of Remembrance, including her own Suite for saxophone and organ alongside Giazotto’s famous Albinoni Adagio and music by Sweelinck, Morricone and John Williams.
The internationally renowned Richard Bridge Organ was installed in Hawksmoor’s architectural masterpiece in 1735. Bridge was one of the leading craftsmen of the era and his masterpiece for Christ Church Spitalfields was the largest organ in England at the time fully encapsulating in both appearance and sound the musical culture of the Baroque.
Until it was fully restored in 2015, very few people had heard the brilliance of this instrument. With an exciting programme every season, you can now step back in time and hear this unique instrument for yourself.
