About this Event
United Voices Choir presents Remembrance and Reflection, a program of inspiring choral works including movements from Mozart's and Faur´e’s breathtaking Requiems, as well as Schubert’s famous Stabat Mater and the opening of his Mass in A flat major. Performing in this historic sanctuary under the brilliant and energetic direction of Dr. Greg Caisley, our choir of 65 voices will be joined by a professional orchestra and baritone soloist David Rosborough.
Specially chosen for November, the month of remembrance, this beautiful music was written by composers who knew how to express the full expanse of human emotion, and to compassionately turn us from anger and sorrow toward acceptance, healing and hope.
From the wrenching anguish of Mozart’s Requiem, to the serene, elevating acceptance of the Faur´´e Requiem, these wonderful works exemplify the transformative journey of grief, and kindle reflection on what it is to be truly alive.
Tickets: General Admission $30; Youth (18 and under) $15.
