About this Event
Vintage View Cinemas and The Wine Collective present Misery (1990)—the second screening in our monthly series Remembering Rob Reiner, honoring the remarkable range and legacy of director Rob Reiner.
Adapted from Stephen King’s novel, Misery strips away spectacle in favor of pure psychological tension. What unfolds is an intimate, nerve-wracking battle of control, obsession, and survival—anchored by unforgettable performances and meticulous direction. It’s a film that proves Reiner’s mastery extended far beyond comedy and romance, firmly placing him among the great American filmmakers of his era.
This Wednesday evening screening includes a curated preshow beginning at 6:00pm, followed by the feature presentation at 7:00pm, alongside all-night happy hour courtesy of The Wine Collective.
The film will be presented in high definition, enhanced with Vintage View Cinemas’ signature vintage commercial breaks, carefully curated to evoke nostalgic home-viewing vibes while remaining respectful of the film’s tone and legacy.
Seating is first-come, first-served in an intimate, candlelit winery setting. Popcorn, Candy, Nachos provided by Vintage View Cinemas. Wine and Tapas provided by The Wine Collective.
