The Lee’s Summit History Museum invites both longtime residents and new neighbors alike to Remembering Lee’s Summit, an evening where our community’s past comes to life through the art of storytelling. This event offers a unique opportunity to sit back and listen as preselected individuals share their personal memories and "insider" accounts of our city's history. For those who have lived here for generations, it is a chance to reminisce and reconnect with familiar faces, while those newer to the area will find it the perfect way to truly feel at home by discovering the history of the streets they walk every day.
Held at Bridge Space, the atmosphere is informal and intimate, designed to feel like a gathering of friends sharing the legends and legacies that make Lee's Summit special. We will provide the popcorn to snack on, and you are welcome to bring your own beverage of choice for a relaxed BYOB experience from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Whether you are looking to relive your own favorite memories or want to learn the stories behind our historic downtown landmarks, this event bridges the gap between our history and our present. Entry is free, and we gratefully accept donations to help the museum continue preserving these vital community voices.
