Soak up the creative atmosphere of a working pottery studio and join the studio community of makers. Work under the tutorage of artist Carys Martin to learn the techniques and tricks to creating in clay and to explore the different surface decoration options. Come along on Sunday 23rd Feb 9:30am-12noon and hand build your very own Goddess. Carys will share with you techniques you can use to bring her to life and you can work with your hands in mindful muditation to bring her to life. We will work with a dark, groggy clay.
The workshop will run for 2 1/2 hours and is suitable for beginners through to advanced potters.
I will carefully dry your piece before its first firing then glaze it in a runny white transparent glaze and fire it in the kiln. It will be ready for collection from the studio in 2-3 weeks. On the rare occasion any breakages occur during the firing process, I will repair them to the bet of my ability. However, if your piece is unable to be repaired, you will be offered the opportunity to remake it or a full refund.
