The evening is designed to be welcoming and fun for all ages. Families and children can enjoy a variety of activities including a kids carnival area, face painting, glitter tattoos, raffle baskets, and a bouncy house. Throughout the night there will also be musical performances by Shenandoah University student groups, themed laps around the track, and opportunities to connect with local organizations and businesses supporting the cause.
One of the most meaningful moments of the evening is the Luminaria Ceremony. During this ceremony, decorated luminaria bags are illuminated around the track to honor cancer survivors and remember loved ones who have passed away. It is a powerful moment of reflection and hope shared by the entire community.
All funds raised during Relay For Life go directly to the American Cancer Society to support cancer research, patient transportation to treatments, lodging programs for families traveling for care, advocacy efforts, and lifesaving support services for those currently battling cancer.
Relay For Life is more than just a walk—it is a night of community, remembrance, celebration, and hope in the fight for a future without cancer. 💜
