Relationships Beyond Bars: A Panel
The U.S. incarcerates more individuals than any other nation on earth. Currently, one out of every two Americans has been or is connected to someone who has been incarcerated in a J*il or Pr*son. By design, prisons and jails attempt to disconnect friends, families, and partners from their loved ones on the inside. And yet, for many people who are incarcerated, in the absence of connection with the outside, other forms of kinship may emerge. Featuring speakers from Tufts, the greater Boston community, and Chicago, Relationships Beyond Bars will explore questions around kinship, love, family, and relationality within and without carceral spaces.
Light snacks and drinks will be avalible.
