Metabolic Studio Presents: REIMAGINE Printmaking and Collective Action

We are living through tumultuous times. Our communities are struggling beneath the weight of intersecting crises: climate catastrophe, systemic inequities, and the ever-present fight for justice. But within every crisis, there is the potential for radical transformation.

As a challenge to this moment, Metabolic Studio is reviving REIMAGINE, our printmaking and postering gatherings that ran from 2016 to 2020. These sessions brought together artists, activists, and community members in a shared space of creation, where visual language became a tool for action, where art became movement, and where we collectively reimagined the world we want to build.

REIMAGINE is more than a printmaking session; it is a call to reshape narratives, reclaim space, and redistribute creativity. Artists have generously donated designs to be used, adapted, and transformed by all. This practice of open-sourcing the creative process fosters collaboration, shared ownership, and solidarity, because no struggle exists in isolation.

REIMAGINE will take place on the first Monday of every month (with the exception of September, when we will meet on the second Monday due to Labor Day). These sessions are not just about making prints. They are about building community, forging connections, and sharing sustenance. Each gathering will be accompanied by a potluck dinner.

Space is limited. RSVP REQUIRED.

Reimagine: A Screen Printing Workshop at Metabolic Studio

Join us at the Metabolic Studio Print Studio for Reimagine, a hands-on screen printing workshop dedicated to public action and creativity. As part of the larger creative practice of Lauren Bon, this open studio session invites you to experiment with printmaking, engage in collective making, and experience live DJing from our Sonic Division archive.

This is an opportunity to transform discarded textiles into new artistic expressions. We encourage participants to donate old shirts or fabric to print on and leave behind silkscreens for others to use—creating a shared resource for ongoing creativity.
