Renowned jazz vocalist Lisa Kelly returns to the Reilly Art Center with her popular quartet, in a unique presentation with Warburton Trumpet Artist, JB Scott, Jeff Phillips on piano, bass and strings, and Clyde Connor on drums. This special evening of holiday jazz features creative original arrangements of Christmas hymns and classic songs in interpretive styles of swing, Brazilian Bossa Nova, jazz waltz, shuffling gospel, lovely ballads, easy funk, and New Orleans groove. Songs include What Child is This/Greensleeves, My Favorite Things, Winter Wonderland, We Three Kings, The Christmas Song, and more. With career backgrounds that include the Larry Elgart Orchestra, the New York Pops, the St. Johns River City Band, Walt Disney World theme parks, leading the legendary Dukes of Dixieland, to drumming with the Navy Commodores in D.C, these entertaining artists have headlined jazz clubs, corporate events, major concert halls and jazz festivals. Together, they have toured, recorded, and delighted numerous audiences, regionally to abroad.
