About this Event
Who it’s for: Caregivers seeking grounding, regulation, and space to receive
Class Intention
Caregiving often asks us to give endlessly — emotionally, physically, energetically. This group is a gentle invitation to pause, come back into the body, and allow yourself to receive. Through movement, meditation, and Reiki, we’ll support nervous system regulation and create space for rest and replenishment.
Class Flow (60 minutes)
1. Arrival & Grounding (5 minutes)
- Soft welcome and brief check-in
- Setting intentions around regulation, safety, and permission to receive
- Gentle orientation to the space
2. Music & Intuitive Movement (10 minutes)
- Light music with guided, optional free movement or gentle dancing
- Focus on shaking out tension, releasing held energy, and reconnecting with the body
- Emphasis on choice — participants move in ways that feel supportive, not performative
3. Guided Meditation: Coming Into the Body (10 minutes)
- Seated or lying-down meditation
- Breath awareness and body scanning
- Noticing areas of dysregulation with compassion
- Invitation to soften, settle, and feel supported
4. Reiki Healing (25–30 minutes)
- Participants remain resting comfortably
- Hands-on or hands-off Reiki (with consent and clear boundaries)
- Focus on calming the nervous system, restoring balance, and supporting emotional regulation
- Quiet music or silence
5. Integration & Closing (5 minutes)
- Gentle re-orientation
- Optional brief reflection or sharing
- Closing intention focused on carrying regulation and support back into daily caregiving life
What Caregivers Will Leave With
- A calmer, more regulated nervous system
- A felt sense of being supported and held
- Tools for noticing dysregulation with more gentleness
- The experience of receiving without needing to give
My name is Heather Beecroft and I am a trauma and violence informed Reiki Practitioner at New Track SelfCare, a new wellness centre in London.I know firsthand what burnout feels like. I’ve felt the shame and stigma – the sense that I’m not enough because everyone else seems to cope while I struggle. For years, I hid my exhaustion, believing I had to simply push through. I had over twenty years of experience as a social worker specializing in mental health and stroke rehabilitation. I supported people with trauma, but I was not immune to trauma myself.
I have survived family mental illness, suicide, alcoholism and generational trauma. I have survived two near death experiences, first delivering my daughter and then again with the delivery of my son three years later. I have survived a car accident, flood and house fire. I have survived several health scares. I had undiagnosed sleep apnea and Complex PTSD.
At the peak of my burnout, a friend recommended I see someone for something called Reiki. I had no idea what Reiki was or what I was in store for. To say that first session was transformative is an understatement. Reiki gave me the courage to care for myself and break free from my trauma. I no longer hide. Reiki put my life back on track, which inspired me to become a Reiki Practitioner myself, thanks to my amazing instructor Wanda Davis.
It’s not just a one-time fix: consistent Reiki sessions helped me release stress, restore my energy and rediscover my strength. If you are burnt out, you’re not alone – and more than enough. Let Reiki support your healing, so you can show up for yourself as powerfully as you do for others. Ready to reclaim your energy and well-being? Reach out today to learn how Reiki can start your journey towards lasting change.
