Please join us this Saturday 8/16 11AM-2PM at the REI 5th Anniversary celebration. Door prizes, REI Trivia and swag. Thanks to multiple generous grants from REI, Sesquicentennial State Park has been able to expand sidewalk access to our historic spillway system—an iconic feature built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. For the first time since its construction, this beautiful area is now accessible to visitors with mobility concerns.
REI is also a proud supporter of our annual Palmetto Campout, providing both materials and volunteers. This special event introduces up to 30 families each year to their very first camping experience in a South Carolina state park.
