About this Event
In times of acceleration, efficiency pressure, and uncertainty, many decisions revolve around the immediate present. Yet innovation rarely emerges from constraint. It requires distance, shifts in perspective, and the freedom to play and imagine possibilities beyond what seems expected.
As part of MCBW 2026, we are opening a space for exactly this kind of thinking. In our Design Futuring workshop, we explore an open future topic not as a prediction, but as an invitation to think further.
Approaching the topic from different future perspectives, we develop scenarios that open up new viewpoints: What could be possible? What is probable? What would be desirable? And what do these perspectives mean for our actions today?
Design Futuring allows us to step away, if only for a moment, from the pressures of the present. It does not eliminate uncertainty but it makes it workable. It creates the mental flexibility that innovation requires.
This process reveals new perspectives, viable options, and a clearer view of strategic decisions in the here and now.
