The Bangor Area Youth Choirs (BAYC) are excited to announce the start of a new season with a refreshed format designed to better fit the busy lives of young singers while continuing to deliver high-quality choral and performance experiences.Beginning this fall, BAYC will begin introducing shorter, program-focused sessions ( generally 6–8 weeks each), allowing singers to participate in meaningful musical projects around their increasingly busy school, sports, and family commitments. Each session will culminate in a performance or special event, providing unique opportunities for students to connect through music and performance.
The first session of the season will feature participation in the annual production of The Nutcracker in collaboration with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra and Robinson Ballet. This is a cherished annual tradition and a highlight of the holiday season.
An Informational Meeting and First Rehearsal will be held on:
📅 Wednesday, November 12, 2025
🕓 4:30–5:30 PM
📍 Norman Minsky Lecture Hall, Bangor Public Library
This kickoff session will give singers and parents the chance to learn more about the new session-based format, meet fellow choir members, and make music together once again.
BAYC welcomes all area youth in grades 4–12 to participate. New singers are encouraged to attend the first rehearsal to learn more and see what the choir is all about.
