Registrations now open for Summer FLAMENCO Workshops with amazing teachers Monika Hatcher, Kristy Manuel and Victoria Townsend.Workshop 1: Palmas & Cajon (with Monika Hatcher)
These workshops will run over two days an hour per day. Each one hour session will include a range of fun and groovy Palmas (hand clapping) and Cajón (flamenco drumming) techniques. No experience with cajón or palmas is needed and you do not need your own cajon we will have them available for you to use during the workshop. All levels welcome!
Workshop 2: Mantón (shawl) Technique & Sevillanas Flamencas with Mantón (with Kristy Manuel)
Offered over two days for 1.5 hours per day enjoy learning an exquisite and unique Sevillanas with manton. This Sevillanas is quite different and very 'Flamenca' (rather than the classic Sevilanas we are often taught first) and will take your manton technique to the next level!
We will start each session with the essential manton technique needed to dance the choreography then enjoy the beautiful experience of dancing with the manton.
No mantón needed as we have mantóns we can lend for the duration of the workshop if you have registered prior - please let us know if you need to borrow one. All levels welcome from experienced beginners up for workshop 2!
Workshop 3: Kids' Flamenco Dance (with Victoria Townsend)
This is a wonderful one off introductory workshop taught by a passionate and experienced teacher which nurtures the creativity and confidence of kids aged approximately 7-12 years (flexible dependant on individual child). They will have a taster of the rhythms and movements of flamenco to fun and inspiring music.
No dance or flamenco expedience needed for the kids workshop.

Saturday 18 January:
11am - 12 noon - Palmas and Cajón

12:30-2:00pm - Sevillanas with Mantón
Sunday 19 January:
1:00-2:00pm - Palmas and Cajón
30 minute break
2:30-4:00pm - Sevillanas with Mantón
