Friends of Studio5 will remember Reggie Thomas from his previous exciting performances on our stage. An evening spent with this charming, masterful pianist is like a stroll through the history of jazz. Reggie has toured worldwide and performs regularly as the pianist for the legendary Count Basie Orchestra. He swings sooo hard, and is joined here by two long-time musical partners, bassist Dennis Carroll, and drummer George Fludas. To make the evening even more special, Trio Nexus will invite the remarkable vocalist Mardra Thomas to join them. Mike Stratton of WLNZ radio said that Mardra “has the impeccable phrasing of Nancy Wilson, and also the sharp tang reminiscent of Eartha Kitt.” Reggie Thomas, piano
