Hello! FOI Chicago's 32nd Annual Autumnal Goddess Festival will be held on Fri. Oct. 10 and Sat. Oct. 11, 2025. The festival will be at Holiday Inn Chicago North-Evanston Hotel, 1501 Sherman Ave., Evanston, IL. 60201. It is two blocks from the Dempster St. Purple Line station and one half mile from Evanston’s Main St. Metra train station. Self parking at the hotel is $18 per day. The featured liturgy for 2025 is from the FOI liturgy book Sophia, Cosmic Consciousness of the Goddess, by Olivia Robertson. “The Mystical Awakening of Pisces and Ceridwen. Oracle of the Goddess Ceridwen”. Themes of Inspiration, Awareness, Magic, Prophecy, Transformation, and Rebirth permeate the liturgy with the spirit.
You can register for the Fri. Reception only, the Sat. Festival only, or for both Fri. and Sat. together.
Friday, Oct. 10, 6:30 - 9:30 PM - Welcome to Ceridwen’s Cauldron Reception and Gwion Bach’s Transformation Meditation. Enjoy light refreshments and fellowship together. Introductions are followed by a toast to the Founders of the FOI, a toast to the Ancestors, and a prayer to Maat. A short discussion and contemplation about the Welsh goddess Ceridwen will be followed by a break. We will then share an oracle & a guided meditation about the pursuit by goddess Ceridwen of her fateful servant Gwion Bach, their totemic transformations, changes of consciousness, and Gwion Bach’s rebirth as Taliesin of the Shining Brow, inspired bard of Queen Guinevere and King Arthur.
Sat. Oct. 11, 12 PM - 8 PM - A full day program focused on Inspiration, Awareness, Transformation, and the Divine Feminine in learning and fellowship. Featured Guest Speaker is author Kenneth Johnson, whose last four books were published by Crossed Crow Books of Chicago. Enjoy presentations and slideshows by guest speakers. Meet authors, artists, shop with vendors of Ceridwen’s Crescent, bid on the Silent Auction items, recharge with a coffee break & a meal break on your own in lovely downtown Evanston. The evening builds up to the liturgy & rite at 7:00 PM. Small gift tokens of the Goddess are given to all after the rite.
