Pat Wictor’s convoluted path to roots music - passing through rock, heavy metal and jazz on a variety of instruments, and living abroad for much of his youth - has shaped his panoramic approach to the blues and gospel-influenced folk music he now writes and sings. His skills as songwriter, guitarist, harmonizer and improviser have made him a sought-after collaborator, session musician, and teacher. His latest CD, FLARE, reached #1 on the Folk-DJ charts.
