International performer Joel Veena returns to Brattleboro to collaborate with Selector D once again! Get ready for an evening of traditional, non-traditional, and fully improvised music. Joel Veena and friends join Selector D for a set of electric slide guitar music, fusing reggae dub plates with Joel's original songs and classics. Joel's music defies categorization as he presents Hindustani ragas in the same set as beat-driven lyrical tunes with live-looping. Known locally for his numerous musical projects (including as producer of the label Root Cellar Sound), and recognized by the government of India in 2023 for his contribution to Indian music, Joel Veena's music is fresh and emergent as the spring blossoms.
