About this Event
SYNOPSIS
Guided Walk along the towpath to Camden Lock, a public walkway opened fifty years ago in 1974 (and in which our guide was involved). It was made possible by undergrounding 400kv power cables which still sit alongside the two century old waterway. We will explore the major developments, the birth of Breakfast TV, space rocketry (fictional and real) and ancient links in the landscape stretching back six centuries to the Battle of Agincourt.
Allow 90 minutes and the finish point is convenient for wandering through the Camden Market, refreshment options and onward journeys.
