Regenerative Seas: Celebrating Regenerative Seafood and Coastal Restoration
Come join us for an afternoon of science, seafood, and restoration at the New Pass Room (Building next to Old Salty Dog), Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium! Warning, this is a hands-on event!
Hosted at Mote Marine Lab & Aquarium’s New Pass Room, we are bringing together seafood farmers, coastal restoration experts, chefs, and more for engaging discussion, demonstrates, and opportunities to get involved in great seafood and restoring our coasts!
- Meet the Makers: Talk one-on-one with local aquaculture pioneers and restoration experts
- Chef’s Demo: Watch Chef Steve Phelps of Indigenous Restaurant create a beautiful dish with Pine Island Redfish
- Hands On Activities: Help replant our mangroves and create a vertical oyster garden, learn how critical both are to our coasts and water quality
- Live Panel and Seafood Q&A: Hear about local seafood farms, restoration activities, and get your questions answered about aquaculture, seafood sourcing, and ocean health
- Raffles and Trivia!
