About this Event
The Future Isn’t Something We Wait For, It’s Something We Grow!
This fall, on a rooftop farm overlooking downtown Houston, we’ll gather for something beyond a gala. Our annual Re-Generative Luncheon is an invitation to invest in a regenerative future - one where food, education, science, and community all thrive together.
Set on the rooftop of POST Houston, just steps from our own Blackwood Skyfarm (the largest rooftop farm in Texas) this event will feature a harvest-driven meal prepared by visionary chefs, stories from our legacy students and educators, tours of the Skyfarm, and a firsthand look at how Blackwood is changing the way people connect to the land and to each other.
At Blackwood, we’re building a regenerative future powered by science, rooted in education, and sustained by food systems that nourish both people and planet. That mission lives and breathes across both our 33-acre teaching farm in Hempstead, and right here in the city through Blackwood Skyfarm. Students of all ages come to Blackwood to learn - from Summer camp kids, to Rice University medical students and beyond because our programs uniquely integrate ecological literacy with real-life systems thinking. Resulting in not just a studying of nature, but a deeper understanding of how to work with it.
We believe the future isn't something we wait for. It's something we grow. One seed, one student, and one bold step at a time.
