Step into the Art Museums' Making Music in Early America exhibit with the Governor's Musick's Kyle Collins for a concert on the organized piano, one of the few remaining and playable keyboards of its kind in the world. The organized piano was brought to Williamsburg in 1799, and installed at the St. George Tucker House. Williamsburg citizen Ann Barraud played the instrument during her time in town, but it would be centuries before the organized piano returned to Williamsburg.With musical gems by Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Joseph Haydn and selections from the libraries of Ann Barraud and Jane Austen, the organized piano will show Classical music in a new (moon-)light!
Parking near the Art Museums is recommended. If you plan to park at the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center, please check the bus schedule.
