About this Event
“Really informative …… Especially impressed with the delivery through virtual video session”.
“The tutor was excellent. I really loved her approach to learning and intuition for the whole care sector. She really knows this inside out and it shows. Excellent slides and info.”
Take some valuable time away from your operational responsibilities to reflect on your supervision practice and learn new skills.
On this course we work together in the virtual learning environment. Although ‘distanced’ from each other, it will be interactive, and you will connect and learn with each other and your trainer. Together we focus on how to get the most out of supervision sessions; how to use them to develop staff and deepen their practice. We build on what you already know to make your supervision practice more reflective and productive.
Structure: up to 3 hours guided work before and after the live session, and a 3 hour virtual classroom with an experienced supervision trainer who has managed children’s homes. Participants will receive a handbook and a certificate of attendance.
Learning Outcomes:
1. To understand and be able to apply the Reflective Cycle to the supervision of staff.
2. To learn through practicing reflective supervision skills including a reflective group process
3. To have access to evidence-based tools to support effective supervision
4. To know how to put learning from the session into practice.
Delivery:
The virtual classroom is hosted on Zoom. Participants need access to a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone, a quiet and private space to join from, and to have made sure they can access Zoom.
