About this Event

Reflective Journaling Circle

Join us for a cozy gathering at Founder Central in Boulder to dive into the art of reflective journaling!

Life can be complex and overwhelming, but through writing, we untangle things one paragraph at a time. We unwind the complexity and discover simple solutions by transcribing troubling feelings into words.

In this session, we will introduce eye movement exercise to release undesireable emotions and feelings. Participants will have some quiet time to reflect and write down emotions or feelings that they would like to let go, then we will practice the eye movement technique to release emotions. Participants are encouraged to share and learn from the collective wisdom.

Why is Reflective Journaling Therapeutic?

Writing and journaling are often underestimated as powerful methods for healing. Numerous studies have shown that writing can significantly reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety while improving overall well-being.

Writing doesn't have to be a long and arduous task; focusing on specific areas can be incredibly effective. For example, a study has shown that participants who wrote about significant life events for just 15–20 minutes on 3–5 different occasions experienced significantly better physical and psychological outcomes compared to those who wrote about neutral topics.

How would you benefit from this course?

  • For each writing session, we’ll focus on a theme, introduce key concepts, and provide a systematic approach to self-discovery.
  • The writing process might feel uncomfortable at first, as it involves confronting emotions or feelings you've tried to ignore or dismiss. But you don’t have to go through it alone. We are here to support our community members through our Reflective Journaling circle.
  • You’ll learn to incorporate various healing methods to help reduce the impact of emotions and unwanted feelings.
  • A great opportunity to engage in self-discovery, growth, and connection with like-minded peers. Leverage the collective wisdom and social support to make journaling a transformative experience.

Who should take this course?

  • For those yearning for emotional well-being and personal advancement.
  • Anyone wishes to explore their deeper selves but is unsure where to start.
  • Looking for a like-minded community to share, connect, and support one another.
  • Seekers eager to gain deeper insight into their true selves.

Whether you're a seasoned journaler or just starting out, everyone is welcome! Bring your favorite journal and pen, and let's come together to reflect, inspire, and grow. We look forward to seeing you there!

*First-time attendees will receive a complimentary notebook.
