Reel Sisters Family Remembers Maitefa Angaza
On Wed., Oct 8, 2025 at 6:30 pm, our Reel Sisters Family and Community will remember the far reaching legacy of author/filmmaker Maitefa Anagza for supporting the work of countless cultural institutions including Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series. Family and friends are invited to join us in a loving remembrance to our Real Sister Maitefa.
A free copy of African Voices magazine's tribute to Maitefa is available for download. Limited aamount of print copies are available for $10. Front cover portrait: Jimmy James Greene.
Our celebration will include a special screening of her documentary In Our Heads About Her Hair co-produced by Maitefa Angaza and directed by Hemamset Angaza.
Event is free and open to the public. Donations are welcomed.
