And now, the end is near…
But before they take their final curtain, the Reef Song science team will be sharing their learnings from the four-year, bi-coastal project which has been investigating how fish and sound might help improve coral recovery.
As part of a series of free public talks, the team will be at Bill’s Bar in Coral Bay on Tuesday 25 November from 7-8pm.
The team will be in the region to wrap up the experiment on Ningaloo Reef. They have already deconstructed the mini reefs at the other Reef Song location – Lizard Island on the Great Barrier Reef. The scientists are now focused on analysing and publishing their results – watch this space!
Reef Song is part of the Australian Coral Reef Resilience Initiative (ACRRI), a partnership between AIMS and BHP.
