Create a multi-color screen print design with just one screen with Reduction Screen Printing! Reduction printing uses the same screen to print different colors, gradually blocking out the screen for each new color to get more detail. Once the prints are done, so is the screen!
In this class you'll create multi-layered designs on paper and acetate before transferring to your screen. You'll get guided instruction on how to pick colors, design elements and registering your prints. Reduction printing creates a limited edition of prints that cannot be done again. You can print on paper or fabric.
This 2-part class takes place on Thursday, September 12 and Friday, September 13 from 1-4 pm each day.
All materials are provided. You are welcome to bring your own fabric or paper to print on, but it is not required. This class is recommended for students 13 and up.
Maxx FG (she/her) loves screen printing and the different ways of creating art with screen printing. Her art is all about layers and she loves that part of reduction printing.
