Immerse yourself in a whole day (plus!) of creativity. It includes 3 classes, a breakout session, lunch, a supply swap, and more!Are you feeling stuck, creatively?
Do you long to do something creative but can't seem to get started?
Imagine having the whole day to break through whatever is stopping you and just be creative. This mini retreat is packed with opportunities to try new things, enjoy a warm and relaxed atmosphere, and receive creative guidance from someone who will encourage you and help you rediscover your own creativity.
This experience begins on Friday, October 18 from 4-6pm with packet pickup and overview, in a "come and go" setting. Attendance to this is not necessary, it's just an opportunity to get situated. A tour of the Kennedy Douglas Center for the Arts will be available at 4:30pm for anyone who would like a guided "insider" view of this beautiful multi-building art complex.
Our retreat space is in the blue/grey house next to the gallery, and includes a roomy classroom and a large space attached where we'll have a supply swap space;trade any supplies you would like to bring for something new to you!
Lunch is provided, and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
On Saturday, October 19 we open up at 8:30 for anyone who didn't get their packets on Friday. Grab a cup of coffee or tea, and find your seat in the classroom. We'll start promptly at 9am. Here's the schedule:
-Class time: 9:00am-10:30am
-Break 10:30-10:45am
-Class time: 10:45 - 12:30pm
-Lunch: 12:30-1:30pm
-Breakout session 1:30pm-2:30pm
-Break 2:30-2:45pm
-Class: 2:45-4:15pm
-Finish up: 4:15-4:30pm
OPTIONAL SUNDAY MORNING SESSION (choose the Plus ticket)
-Meet at 9:00am at the classroom
-Take a walk through the park on a scavenger hunt for items to use in our bonus session
-Meet back at the class and ar 9:30am to spend 2 hours making gel plate prints using your found objects and other things
-11:30am finish up
