Redeemer Lutheran Church wants to open up our doors to the community, displaying that we are serious about loving our neighbors, that we care about the things that our larger community cares about, and open up conversations about Jesus. In other words, we want to invest in our relationship with our neighbors.To get things started, we are inviting everyone to come join us on Saturday, May 3rd for delicious boiled crawfish. A 3 pound platter of tasty boiled crawfish for only $10/each. If crawfish aren’t your thing, no problem. We will have boudin, hot dogs, and other foods free of charge.
This will be a child friendly, family event that besides serving great food, will feature live band playing some of your favorite music and a car show featuring classic cars and trucks from our local area.
Besides bringing your 10 bucks for your crawfish, we are asking you to bring some canned/dry goods to stock the pantry at Some Other Place. For many families this summer, “school’s out” means food insecurity for families who depend on school meals. Please join us in ensuring that no child goes hungry in Beaumont this summer.
Lastly, we aren’t just accepting canned food, but we will take your empty aluminum cans as well. We will sell those to help support our Children’s Center.
So we hope you will come out, enjoy seeing some classic cars and trucks as well as vintage and late model muscle cars while enjoying some boiled crawfish and tapping your foot to the live music.
I am asking my car friends to consider bringing your cars out for this event. This is a Show & Shine at this time, so no trophies, but if you love boiled crawfish we will have ample supplies to go along with the live music.
