Singer/Songwriter/Guitar picker Pernell Reichert brings his special renditions of your favourite songs and the ones he likes to play. A mixture of some Bob Dylan, John Prine, Neil Young meets Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne. He frequents Jams around town, is an eyeful, and a gentle musician. Though Pernell usually performs solo, backing him up here at Red truck LIVE and filling in the blanks will be his brother Jonathan Reichert who brings it on with a custom-made second guitar. A musical family with a last name that can be as misspelled and memorable (or perhaps as famous?), as Chantal’s “Kreviazuk” or Sarah’s “Mclachlan”; the Reichert’s can be remembered by their musical tastes and talents and by their name; which has roots from the middle ages. “Rihhi," means 'rich', 'powerful' or ‘ruler’, and "heri," means 'army'. Thus, the name Reichert roughly translates to 'powerful ruler of an army' or 'rich army’. Ooooo…Aaaaaah…
