About this Event

RED, Black & Green Lunch and Learn Series Part I - Gardening 101

As recipients of the Metro Parks and Nature's Community Partnerships program grant the Portland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. invites you to join the RED, Black & Green Lunch and Learn Series. This series aims to educate and empower Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) about nature in the greater Portland area by providing a skills-sharing opportunity in the JKDCC garden for beginning gardeners to hear and learn from experienced growers, environmentalists, and other nature-based professionals. We hope to feature conversations and topics such as regenerative agriculture, native landscaping, soil health, and garden design.

Lunch will be provided

The event is free and it will be held on Saturday, April 27th, 2024, from 10:30am to 1:30pm at the June Key Delta Community Center in Portland.
