Come join our second event this year at the Red Banks Alvar State Natural Area along the Niagara Escarpment in Brown County. We’ll work with DNR Biologist Jacob Koebernik as we collect seeds and learn more about the alvar’s fall features. Also joining us will be Bob Bultman, a geologist and naturalist, who will answer questions about the Escarpment features. Enjoy an outdoor learning experience in one of Wisconsin’s most unique ecological landscapes. Alvar landscapes are present in only a few places along the Escarpment’s 1,000+ mile long corridor and we’re lucky enough to have one right in Brown County!
