Do recyclables really get recycled? What belongs in the bin, and what happens after it leaves your curb? Join Amy Donovan, Program Director at the Franklin County Solid Waste District, for a practical conversation about recycling, trash, composting, and why waste reduction matters in our everyday lives.
Amy will share how recycling works in Franklin County, common recycling mistakes, and what actually happens at the Springfield Materials Recycling Facility, where recyclables from communities across western Massachusetts are sorted and prepared for reuse. Handouts and recycling resources will be available for attendees.
